and mission
Founded in 2023 with a commitment to enhance veterinary surgical precision, ON Surgery Ltd specialises in designing patient-specific 3D printed guides that support surgeons in delivering better care for dogs and cats. Our mission is to drive innovation in surgical planning, improve outcomes, and support veterinary professionals with trusted, tailored solutions.
Diogo graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2012 and, after several years in both first-opinion and referral practice, completed a three-year European College-approved residency in Small Animal Surgery between 2018 and 2021. He became a Diplomate in Small Animal Surgery in 2023.
Following specialist qualification, Diogo developed a strong interest in advanced 3D planning and patient-specific surgical solutions to improve precision and predictability in his own cases. This expanded to colleagues, who began seeking support with their own cases across orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery and neurosurgery. In response to this growing demand, he founded ON Surgery in 2023.
Drawing on his specialist training and extensive clinical experience, Diogo combines advanced digital planning with practical surgical expertise to help deliver more accurate, predictable outcomes for patients.
He continues to practise as a specialist surgeon, working across orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, while supporting veterinary teams worldwide through innovative surgical planning and guide design.
